ARES is the god of war. He often represents
the physical or violent aspect of war. He is a dangerous force,
"overwhelming, insatiable in battle, destructive, and man-slaughtering”.
He is one of the Twelve Olympians, and the son of Zeus and Hera. He is well
known as the lover of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. His sacred animals are
vulture and dog.
POSEIDON is the god of sea. He represents
greed and power and after Zeus. He is one of the twelve Olympian deities of the
pantheon. He has a magnificent golden palace decorated with corals and sea
flowers on the depths of the ocean. He has two wheel trolley drawn by dolphins,
sea horses and other sea creatures. His gun is a three-prong fork which can
shake the world and shatter everything.
APHRODITE is the goddess of love, beauty,
pleasure, and procreation. She had no childhood: in every image and each
reference she is born as an adult, nubile, and infinitely desirable. She has a
magical belt which provides everyone to desire her. Her primary sacred animal
is the pigeons, swans and sparrows and her sacred tree is the myrtle.
HEPHAESTUS is the god of fire. He is also the
god of blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, metallurgy and
volcanoes. He made all the weapons of the gods in Olympus. He served as the
blacksmith of the gods, and was worshipped in the manufacturing and industrial
centers of Greece, particularly Athens. He likes polite and peace. But he is
the ugliest god and his two legs are lame.
ZEUS is the father of gods and men. He is
the god of sky and thunder. He identifies with fertility, and rain is expected
from him. He most often depicted with a thunderbolt in the hands. His symbols
are the thunderbolt, eagle, bull, and oak. His sacred tree is the oak and his
mentor is Dodona which is the homeland of oak trees.
HADES is the god of the underworld. He is the owner of the underground riches. The precious metals extracted from the ground makes him the god of abundance and wealth. He has a helmet which makes him invisible. He is cruel, and even scary. He is a greedy god who hammers away at to increase the number of his servants.
