MONGOLIAN MYTHOLOGY

KAYRA is the creator god. He is the ancestor and the mother of mankind. He determines the destiny of the universe. He lives on the 17th floor in the Sky.

KIZAGAN is the god of war. He helps commanders to manage the armies and to defeat the enemies. He protects the warriors, gives strength to them and provides them to be invincible. He is very strong and he is symbolized by the red color. He lives on the 9th floor in the Sky.

BAI-ULGAN is the god of goodness. He manages the celestial and meteorological objects. He likes to do a favor. He has a long hair. Thunderbolts and lightning are his weapons. He lives in a golden palace with a golden gate, and he sits on a golden throne. He lives on the 16th floor in the Sky.

ERLIK is the god of death and underworld. Erlik is the deity of evil, darkness, lord of the lower world, and judge of the dead. He is an old asset with strong and athletic body. He is known as the first of mankind, created by Ulgan. He wants to be equal to Ulgan, but he is sent to the prison at the 9th floor in the earth and became opposed to the upper world, the realm of light.

UMAY is the goddess of fertility and virginity. She is a protector of pregnant women, children and baby animals. She distributes abundance to the world. She determines the children, which come into the world. She likes to do a favor and she is the owner of the tree of life. She has three horns and she wears a white dresses.

MERGEN is the god of wisdom. He knows everything and gives people sagacity. He represents the mind, intelligence, science and philosophy. He is pantocrator owing to his knowledge. He has a bow and arrow. There is no mistake in the destination of the arrow if it is taken by the wisdom. He lives on the 7th floor in the Sky.
