group/pair work in tasks and games. They also will be able to do complex
activities.
SKILL FOCUS:
Listening, writing, speaking and reading
LEXICAL FOCUS:
Students will be able to distinguish the phrases used to
describe daily routines; “listen to music, do exercises, play games, drink
fruit juice, do homework, leave home, have lessons, have a shower, read books,
draw pictures, have breakfast, drive a car, surf the net, get up, watch TV, have lunch, ride a bicycle, get on the

“the present simple tense” by using these phrases.
POSSIBLE PROBLEMS:
Students can misunderstand or mispronounce some words.
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:
The teacher will try to explain the words in a different way
or in a more detailed way when they misunderstand. And the teacher will make
students repeat the words as a whole class when they mispronounce.
MATERIALS:
Video, song, pictures, crossword puzzle and handouts
WARM UP:
The teacher tries to take the students’ attention to the
course.
ACTIVITY 1:
The teacher greets the class and he asks the students if
they want to watch a video. After they watch the video once, the teacher will
introduce the lesson in general terms: “today we will learn daily routines” And
he asks the students if they want to watch it again. After the students say
“okay”, the teacher will say “now, try to repeat the sentences and make
gestures about it” Whole class watches the video again and they try to repeat
the sentences by making gestures.
ACTIVITY 2:
To increase the number of learned phrases the teacher gives
the crossword puzzle handouts to the students. Before the students start to
complete the puzzle, the teacher will introduce the phrases one by one on back
page of the handouts by using gestures and acting out. Then, they complete it.
ACTIVITY 3:
To reinforce the learned phrases the teacher sticks some
pictures prepared before the lesson and they check the answers together. The
teacher wants to the class say the answer and then he says the phrases in a
sentence by using “The Present Simple tense.” After completing the puzzle
together, the teacher wants the students to try to use these learned phrases in
a sentence. If there will be a problem in a use of the phrases in a sentence,
the teacher will introduce “simple present tense” briefly.
ACTIVITY 4:
To consolidate the learned phrases the teacher gives the
students the reading handouts in which there is a popular movie star’s daily
routine. After reading the text, the teacher and the students answer the
comprehension questions altogether.
ENDING:
The teacher repeats the learned phrases again. After that,
he want the students to create their own daily routine. When the student make
any gesture, the students will try to make sentence about it. They will do it
again and again. After all, they will have their own daily routine.
